Oh fuck that is a good call: that’s a gentleman whose career started while AIDS was in full swing within his community, who has championed harm reduction approaches to infectious disease, and who is pointed in his insistence on destigmatizing high risk communities rather than setting himself apart from them. This is someone who understands harm reduction and meeting people where they are without judgement, which is precisely the attitude you want to have when you grapple with a stigmatized epidemic.
Here’s an article about his appointment to director of HIV/AIDS prevention from February 2021. Look at his career: he’s been working in HIV/AIDS nearly his entire adult life and career. He’s been working on increasing public health within stigmatized populations by focusing on harm reduction that entire time. Hell, this is someone with the institutional memory to remember Anthony Fauci’s piss poor treatment of HIV during the Reagan administration and carry a grudge because the man didn’t go far enough.
By the way, this is absolutely an example of harm reduction in terms of exercising your right to vote: there is zero chance that an advocate like Daskalakis would have been appointed under a Trump administration, but the incoming Biden administration installed him in the previous director position (which he still holds, as he adds monkeypox to his case load) as early as late 2020, before Biden was even properly inaugurated. That doesn’t mean this administration is perfect or that we can’t continue to agitate for better change, but it does mean that things are better and fewer people are going to die. That’s basic harm reduction in action: you focus on survival for the most people as your metric, you take the route that results in the best outcome for the situation you have, and you do not ever let the imaginary perfect become the enemy of the tangible better.

i am super excited to share this new custom content set with you!
as you might have heard by now, the lovely MissSimRenoand i developed a concept together for a coastal / traditional style family room! we were very inspired by the theme of brindleton bay, the world that came with the cats&dogs expansion pack, but also by our real life experiences as we both live near the sea, even though april she lives in the usa and i live in germany, we still had the same vision in mind.
we had so much fun developing this set and i am very happy with the outcome!

10 years later - basegame savefile
hello everyone,
today i am sharing something a bit different than usual.
my first savefile using only basegame & no cc.
i have been building on this savefile for over 2 years now. sometimes more, sometimes less frequently. so it’s kind of a work in progress still because i don’t believe i will ever be 100% happy with it. but i decided to share it with you anyways because there is already a lot to discover and play with in here. many families have backstories and relationships to get you started with some interesting gameplay.
as the title predicts, the stories in this savefile are my imagination of what happens in the lifes of our known townies (and a few new ones) after 10 years.
i just realized i could have said 8 years because of how old the sims 4 is by now, but i don’t want to go back and change that now.to make this savefile more fun i decided that everyone can renovate or expand this to their liking and upload their own version as well so we can all get most out of this. if you decide to share your version please use the hashtag #10yearslatersave or tag me so i can check it out.
you can also upload the builds to the gallery if you renovated them. actually do whatever you like with it i just hope you like it and have fun 😊
if you find typos, builds that are not working, relationship settings that i missed or anything like that, please let me know so i can update the savefile in the future.
i also want to update the savefile with more worlds from other packs and maybe take some better preview screenshots for this post some day!anyways, i am happy that i can finally share this with you and really hope you enjoy playing with it, renovate the builds or whatever you like to do!
to install the savefile you only need to unzip the download file and put the .save file in to your saves folder. if you use windows you can probably find that folder here: \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves
make sure that no other file in your ‘saves’ folder has the same name so you don’t overwrite any of you existing ones.DOWNLOAD

Brownstone Collection - Part 3
